Hamilo Coast ensures that all developments made at the expansive property are in accordance with the principles of sustainable development through its partnership with important stakeholders.

At the community level, since acquisition of the property in mid-1990s, developers have constantly promoted educational campaigns and constant dialogues with neighboring barangays to imprint the significance of conserving and protecting Hamilo Coast's natural resources. To date, successful activities such as mangrove reforestation programs and upland tree planting have significantly improved growth of marine and terrestrial species in Hamilo Coast.

The formation of SAMAPA (Samahan ng Mamalakaya ng Papaya), a group of local fishermen of Barangay Papaya has similarly sustained gains made in marine life refurbishment. Together with local government authorities, the Philippine National Police, and the Philippine Air Force, they now form part of Bantay Dagat, a non-profit organization which patrols the seas of Hamilo Coast against illegal activities.

Partnership with World Wide Fund (WWF-Philippines) has also been strengthened in the areas of coastal resource management (CRM), solid waste management, and in finding renewable sources of energy onsite.

As part of coastal resource management efforts, a municipal ordinance is now for approval to declare Pico de Loro, Santelmo, and Etayo Coves as Marine Protected Areas. Under this ordinance, Santelmo Cove will be declared a marine sanctuary or a no-take zone—area where fishing will not be allowed, while Etayo and Pico de Loro Coves will be declared a marine reserve, where fishing will be restricted. Other activities spearheaded under CRM are clam seeding, mangrove reforestation, upland tree planting, and release of pawikan (sea turtle) hatchlings.

Efforts are continuously being implemented in Hamilo Coast to ensure proper disposal and treatment of waste generated by its development and operations, as well as in exploring possible alternative sources of energy in actual building development (i.e. solar power, saltwater desalination).
